About the Author
Maxine J. Wood, Ed.D., is a retired educator and administrator at the classroom, school and district levels, with more than 45 years’ service in pre-K through 12 and higher education, as well as a former school board commissioner. Her degrees were earned at College of Notre Dame of Maryland [B.A.], Towson University [M.Ed.], and doctorate in Urban Education from Temple University, Pennsylvania.
HomeWork Lessons
HomeWork consists of 10 independent, stand-alone lessons and activities. They are “stand alone” entities, developed to provide clear, focused and comprehensive learning experiences directly related to the topic.
Instructional Model
HomeWork gives focused attention to ten specific topics deemed valuable for parents to share with their children. Each topic includes descriptive actions and activities that inform, and instruct parents regarding their meaning and potential importance
Online Activities
These free online activities are designed to enhance and support HomeWork’s 10 lessons and activities included. The activities are designed to showcase children’s creative expression. You can also take part in HomeWork’s participant’s survey.
